Registration Underway At L & M Football Academy

L & M Football Academy provides a full package of football training for Nigeria’s youth.

Based in Abuja with a branch in Calabar, L & M has one of the most complete football training programs in the country. “The program is specially designed to start with the very young minds of 3-years-old all the way up to 19 years. Long-term development is at the forefront,” says CEO Lerche Njang.

Participants are grouped by age:

L & M U17

Kick Starters (Born 2014, 2015) Kinderfootball (Born 2012, 2013) U9: (Born 2010, 2011) U11: (Born 2008, 2009) U13: (Born 2005, 2006, 2007) U15: (Born 2003, 2004) U17: (Born 2001, 2002) U19: (Born 1999, 2000).

Njang believes that the best training is based on viewing football “as a game of decisions with quick thinking in relationship to surroundings, the area of the field, and moment of the game.”

To promote football development, L & M is engaging in partnerships with schools to introduce the Kickstarter and Kinderfootball program for children 3-7 years.

It’s really important to start early, Njang says. “We have a relentless focus on player development, from age 3 and up. And we constantly adapt our training program and evaluate our players based on trends in international football. To do those things effectively, we rely on licensed coaches who have lots of local and international coaching experience.”
